Bay View is nine kilometres north of the city centre of Napier and is on route to either the Eskdale valley on SH5 or up SH2 to Whirinanki, Kaiwaka and on to Tutira. Bay View is administered by the Napier City Council. The Esk River flows into the sea just to the north and there is easy road access to Hawke’s Bay Airport from this region.
