This Week's Lifestyle Properties and Open Homes

We’ve been seeing more consistent messages around declining interest rates, buyer confidence and a predicted economic turnaround.  The activity in the market seems to support that, and residential continues to show positive results.  Why do I always reference residential? They tend to be the canary in the mine or the early green shoots as to how the market performs.  Lifestyle tends to follow along slowly after residential hits its stride and is generally due to that part of the market being comfortable and transacting consistently, which gives people looking to upsize confidence their residential property will sell and people coming off larger rural properties confidence their off-farm investment will hold water.  Either way, it’s a good sign that part of the market has consistently performed well over the last several weeks/month plus.  With Spring around the corner, we are likely to see more action stirring as vendors who have been on the market over winter look to achieve the result that enables them to move along with their next plans before the year's end.  While the market seems to be on the return, it’s feeling like a great time to consider that lifestyle purchase before prices start to rebound positively once again.
