New RV’s out have presented an interesting opportunity from a buyers point of view.  While no one wants to see their values come down, it can serve as a great tool to justify offering at a similar level.  That’s not to say use it to your advantage to present low offers, but the market had consistently been below RV and the new release is likely a more accurate representation of the values through the District.  Most people would have expected to sell below RV as that was the market trend and now having a specific number associated with their property, it can help align buyer offers with vendor expectations and is worth taking advantage of.  The other factors to consider are that there is likely an OCR increase in our future and banks have already begun to lift their interest rates slightly, so making moves and getting something locked in before this could make a difference in your monthly re-payment schedules.
