This Week's Lifestyle Properties and Open Homes
More than halfway to Spring now and while the mornings have been brisk, the clear sunny days have been really nice to have, and seem to be bringing out a bit more activity in the market.
It is this time of year that people begin to look at buying decisions based on timelines leading up to Christmas and once Spring hits, the competition can sometimes become fierce!
The number one conversation I have been having across the region with buyers is to put something forward and be prepared to negotiate. The idea being that waiting for conditions to be perfect or for a vendor to come down to a level that is suitable may never come. With the fast approaching Spring, some may think things will improve so they are reluctant to lower price, but they may be ready to sell at the lower level and just don't want to advertise that. The best way to beat the incoming rush is to put something forward and see if we can't find a common ground. Negotiating is a normal part of the process and we can set things up in a way that you only are spending time (i.e. not money) until you know you're price agreed. There are a lot of people wanting to see offers and when you wait for the perfect time, it can often come at the cost of securing something you might not have thought was possible.
If you are truly waiting for the spring rush, we have some really cool new listings that we're getting ready for a Spring launch so stay tuned for those as well.
