Last weeks storm passed through our Region and thankfully did not create any major issues which was an ideal outcome for everyone. Most of us did not carry out open homes on the weekend because of it and have since been working on securing private viewings for those that had an interest.  There are still a good number of buyers that are out looking at properties and making offers on them. When making an offer where we know it is likely to be less than the vendor is hoping for, it can often be beneficial to have ticked as many boxes as possible before submitting an offer.  While it may seem counterintuitive to spend time or money before knowing if there’s going to be price agreement, it can often go a long way to building confidence with the vendor when buyers have “spent money and are committed” even if it just gets a good counter offer, being in a negotiation can make all the difference in getting something over the line.  We are always happy to help provide guidance and advice on the best approach in the current market.
