This Week's Lifestyle Properties and Open Homes

Wow, we are already at the halfway mark for 2025! Since January, the lifestyle market has improved at a steady and consistent pace. Confidence in the market is back, and both buyers and vendors are in decision-making mode.  Available lifestyle listings continue to be upwards of 140 (Napier and Hastings) which has kept things at a steady pace despite improved economic conditions, and sales have continued to increase month to month through 2025.

Lifestyle and rural sales reported for May by REINZ are the highest for the year thus far, at 29 sales. There were 24 sales recorded in April and 27 in March. Since peaking in March, the DOM (days on the market) figures have decreased as older listings sell through and the market resets to faster sale times eg via a Tender, Deadline or Auction campaign.
