This Week's Lifestyle Properties and Open Homes

The OCR is now at 3%, Spring is in site and listings are down (135 overall – 112 Hastings and 23 Napier).  This all brings positivity to the market and across the team, we have all felt that there has been a pickup in inquiry.  This is mainly due to their being less listings on the market, so buyers are focusing in on what is available and acting fast to secure a property.  The OCR change will ultimately flow through to lending and economists anticipate that while the benefit may not be immediate, you can view the 1-3 year rates as improving into next year so you will be able to reap the rewards if setting up a new mortgage now.  There’s a lot of property that has been around a while and only a few new listings this month so there is opportunity in the market and many are viewing now as a really good time to buy, so let’s talk so you don’t miss out.
